Outdoor bonsai are mostly plants that are native here too. These trees need to be placed outdoor all year round. They need the change of seasons.

This plant tolerates full sun. Remember, however: The stronger the sunlight and the more leaves the tree has the more water it needed. If you can water your tree only in the morning and/or evening and the tree is always completely dry and let its leaves hang, you should either provide a larger dish (more soil), or select a place with a little shade. Even small dry periods are stressful for the tree.

The water demand of this plant is not excessive, and it can also survive short dry periods well.

However, make sure that the soil never dries out completely and pour if something is not sufficient if the natural rainfall. We recommend to dig the plants along with the dish in the garden over the winter or cover it with peat or mulch around 5-10 cm . If the first spring shoots or buds are visible, you should keep the plants from frost if possible. Should the weather get very cold once again then, you can place the plant quite a few days in the unheated basement as not to lose the shoots through the frost.
